A temporary residence permit (RVP) is an important step toward long-term residence in Russia. It allows you to live in Russia, work in your region without a patent and later apply for a residence permit.

What RVP gives you

• the right to live in Russia for up to 3 years;
• the right to work in your region without a patent;
• access to compulsory medical insurance;
• the possibility to apply for residence permit later.

Quota or no quota

In the general procedure, RVP is issued under regional quotas. Some applicants can apply without quota, for example spouses of Russian citizens, parents of Russian children or participants in the resettlement program.

2. passport with notarized translation;
3. 35×45 mm photos;
4. medical report and HIV certificate;
